Grant Taylor
Principal

Grant is one of the company's principals and has a dynamic background in real estate investing and development. His experience includes project underwriting, securing land use entitlements, obtaining financing, structuring construction contracts and completing complex transactions. Aside from his work at Pacific Midwest, Grant owns his own real estate investment companies and serves as legal counsel to developer clients. Previously, Grant was an in-house attorney and business manager at a land development company where he completed several finished lot subdivisions totaling hundreds of lots.
Grant received his BA in political science, JD, and MBA, all from the University of San Diego, is a member of the California Bar and is a licensed California real estate broker.

Joe Zanfini
Principal

Joe is one of the company's principals and has an extensive background in tax law and finance. He has specialized in corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions due diligence, and real estate financing. With that background, Joe's experience is focused on project underwriting, transaction structuring, and obtaining financing of all types (including acquisition, bridge, construction-to-perm, refinance, land loans, and preferred equity). Prior to joining Pacific Midwest, Joe worked at Deloitte, BDO, and as an independent residential and commercial mortgage broker and project execution consultant.
Joe received his BS in accounting from Santa Clara University, and his JD from the University of San Diego School of Law. Joe is a member of the California Bar and is a licensed California real estate salesperson.

Craig Metz
Chairman

Craig is the original founder of Pacific Midwest and serves as the company's chairman. His deep experience financing and developing successful commercial real estate projects enables highly insightful contributions to the team. Over the last 20+ years, Craig has developed over 50 separate buildings and projects across the U.S. for various tenants including agencies of the US Federal Government. He has acquired, entitled, developed, financed, and constructed millions of square feet of space totaling over $500 million. Aside from commercial buildings, Mr. Metz is an active investor in apartment complexes across the country.
Craig received his BA in economics from the University of California, Davis, and his MBA from the University of California, Berkley.
